YOU TOO CAN PREVENT WILDFIRES!

The end of summer in Middle Tennessee was extremely hot and painfully dry. But guess what!? You can take steps to protect your land and minimize the risk of a fire spreading.

MAKE SMOKEY PROUD

It’s important to create a natural fire break. Dead brush and trees can increase the chances of a fire spreading when a property is overgrown with vegetation. Whether or not you are utilizing all of your acreage, controlling growth through your entire property can make a huge difference in reducing the spread of forest fire!

Williamson and surrounding counties are proactive about this issue by administering burn bans, but most natural forest fires are started by elements completely out of our control- such as lightning. By scheduling annual, semi-annual or seasonal “clean ups” on your property, you too can take steps to minimize risk of a fire spreading on your land!
